Important Update: With the opening of CGI Seattle, CGI San Francisco now serves the states of California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Hawaii, and Guam. POLICE CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE (PCC) FOR FOREIGN NATIONALS:
Applicants with foreign passports (other than Indian passport) applying for PCC may provide complete details of their stay in India, including date/month/year of their stay with complete residential/official addresses.
Download the Miscellaneous Application form and fill it up carefully. Each applicant is required to fill up separate Miscellaneous Application form and affix his/her photograph on the same.
Notarized copy of passport. Notarized copy of the document showing valid US STAY PERMITS (for non-US nationals).
Notarized copy of any of the following documents as proof of residence: US Driving License, Utility Bill, Lease Agreement, State Identity Card, or Mortgage Deed.
An ink-signed letter mentioning the period and place of stay in India for which PCC is requested and a copy of the Indian Visa during that period.
Prepaid Express return envelope (USPS 'Express Mail' or UPS only) (No Fedex) with a tracking number, which applicants may note for tracking return mails.
Fee: A non-refundable fee of $40.00 (Forty) and an additional fee of US$2.00 (Two) to be added towards Indian Community Welfare Fund (ICWF) per application. The fees may be paid through money order/cashiers’ cheque only, drawn separately towards fee and ICWF, in favor of Consulate General of India, San Francisco.
Note: NO BLANK CHECK/MONEY ORDER WILL BE ACCEPTED BY THE CONSULATE. Cash, Personal Cheques, Credit Cards, Debit Cards or other banking instruments are not accepted.
Normal processing time for PCC services is 28 business days.
