The following applications may be downloaded, completed, and returned to the Woodbury County Community and Economic Development office. It is advised to call 712-279-6609 to discuss your application prior to submission. Each application type may have different application deadlines. Most applications must be received before the 1st of the Month.

FLOODPLAIN DEVELOPMENT PERMIT
- Base Flood Elevation (BFE) must be obtained from the Iowa DNR - 515-725-8333
- BFE data (Required to accompany Floodplain Development Permit Application)
- Elevation Certificate (Required to complete and submit at project's conclusion)
- Floodplain Management - Zoning Ordinance Regulations (Section 5.03)
GRADING PERMIT
- NPDES Permit #2 from the Iowa DNR (Required to accompany application)
- Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (Required to accompany application)
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
- Review Criteria and Application Requirements
- Requires review by the Woodbury County Zoning Commission and consideration for approval by the Woodbury County Board of Adjustment
- Certified Abstractor's Listing Required - (Property Owners within 500 FT or one (1) mile)

- Zoning Commissioners and Board of Adjustment members serve 5-Year Terms
- There are five members on both the Zoning Commission and Board of Adjustment
- Each year one term is up for an appointment beginning in January
- Application must be completed and returned to the Woodbury County Board of Supervisors' office
